is not part of the United States, it is a separate country. We even
have our own flag.

We have our own currency, which is much prettier and easier to use
than American currency because it is colour coded. Yes, colour, not
color. We sometimes say "eh?" instead of "huh?" We do not say
"aboot" unless we are talking about a piece of footwear. We have a
prime minister, not a president. We have a parliament, not a
congress. We do have senators. Our national police only wear red on
formal occasions and usually ride in cars, not on horses.
If the postal code M5W 1E6 doesn't mean
anything to you then you probably aren't a real Canadian.
